Linda, thanks, I'm glad it helped. I was lucky to find that old letter, it's cleared up several things. In the letter, Isaac Lingo was trying to get my g.g.grandfather, Calvin M. Morris, to move from Hardin County, Tn, up to Missouri. I have been trying to find someone with access to the 1860 census to see if Calvin did come to Macon county, Mo, but have no luck so far. I haven't been able to find him in TN in 1860, so he could have moved to Missouri. If I find anything new on the Lingos, I will let you know. Red Anthony
