I am the great granddaughter of Frances Susan Lingo-Oakes and can find nothing on her background other than she was in Iowa for the 1900 Iowa Census and was 36 yrs old at the time. She was married to Gerge Wallis Oakes and had 3 daughters and 1 son. She is buried in Iowa City beside her husband. My uncle says she was from the South, Arkansas. Help, please, someone must know about her somewhere.
