Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

CORRECTION: I SAID IN MY LAST POST THAT S. S. LINGO STOOD FOR STERLING S. BUT IT IS SAMUEL SANDERS LINGO. SORRY. I DO NOT DESCEND FROM S. S. LINGO BUT DO DESCEND FROM HIS FATHER JAMES STUART LINGO AND SARAH SMITH LINGO. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION TONIGHT 10/1/2004 THAT S. S. LINGO MAY BE BURIED AT COLLEGE MOUND, MO. AND SINCE I LIVE FAIRLY CLOSE TO THAT CEMETERY I AM GOING TO CHECK IT OUT VERY SOON WHICH WILL PROBABLY TAKE A MONTH SO BE PATIENT.
MS. EPPERLY, I DID NOT KNOW YOU HAD ANSWERED MY POST UNTIL TONIGHT. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF YOUR ANSWER AND SINCE I DO 720 LINES I CAN'T KEEP UP WITH THEM ALL IF THEY DON'T NOTIFY ME. I DO KNOW THAT SOME OF THE EPPERLYs m. INTO THE LINGO FAMILY. THE EPPERLYs were well known to the Holman family of Mt. Carmel Close to College
Mound. KEEP IN TOUCH, LAURANA HOLMAN SCHAMMA loll@mcmsys.com
