Tryng to help my cousin before she dies!

Hoping Lingo family can help if anyone has records of an Edyth Lingo marryin into the Warren family in 1856 in Georgia.

I have been looking for a long time for our line backwards from Edyth Lingo's husband - James Carter Warren (my cousin's great-grandfather) who died as a prisoner in a war camp in Illinois during the Civil War. He was a solder from Georgia who had married Edyth( daughter of John Richard Taliaferro Lingo) - but I thought I had all the time in the world to look.

But at Christmas I visited my oldest living Warren/Lingo relative - who unfortunately is in the hospital dying - so our chat wasn't long. But she is clear of mind - and is sure that our Warren line which we trace back to pre-Civil War Georgia - originally came from Virginia.

What we are pretty sure of is that James Carter Warren's father was named "Joseph" and his mother, Nancy Davenson (not a spelling error). We think Joseph lived from 1791 to 1840 in Georgia.

What we are guessing is that Joseph's father was "Jesse". And there we lose the track.

In all of your research, does anyone have anything pointing toward the family that Edyth Lingo married into? Edyth was the granddaughter of Mary Hardin Taliaferro and Elijah Lingo - I just though somewhere there might be a record.

I know finding all this out before my cousin passes away is slim - since I haven't found it yet - but I'm going to try.
