According to info in my files Jeremiah's parents were Matthew Lingrell from Ireland, and Jane Wick, born 10 October 1778 in New Jersey. Information is sketchy at best, at least what I have. Jeremiah married Eleanor Ragan and they had 13 children, one of whom, Jane, married Martin Cronley. Jeremiah Lingrel and John Lingrell were brothers and I am descended from John. Notice that a spelling change crept in between John and Jeremiah. My branch kept two ells at the end while Jeremiah's branch dropped one el. Probably a census takers error or something similar. Incidentally, my files show that Martin Cronley married Selena, also a daughter of Jeremiah. I may well be in error there I will have to check this out. Do you have a citation or source to support Jane's
marriage to Martin? At any rate I will refresh my information on this connection and follow up with whatever I learn.I am researching LINGRELL, LINGREL, SAMPLES,WICK.
and any other corrolary lines that I come across. Best wishes on your research!
