Thank you Michael. I was aware of the "extinction" of the Dalry Linns/Lynns but was hoping someone may have been able to trace their ancestry back. I certainly hoped there might still be someone living else in Ayrshire.

I do believe some of the Dalry family (whose name originally was spelled most often with a "y" but appeared in various records with no less than 7 variant spellings) took part in the first Ulster plantation. Since you have an interest in the family, you might want to take a look at a couple of my websites ...
