Linns of Monrovia, California
Posted by: Loretta Layman (ID *****8343) Date: January 07, 2012 at 12:18:49

Buried in Live Oak Memorial Park, Monrovia are the following Linns:

Bertha L. Linn b 1884 d 1955 "Aunt Bertha"
Jack Linn b 15 Jun 1906 d 12 Apr 1992; S[taff] Sgt, US Army, WWII; "Beloved Husband and Father"
Dorothy S. Linn b 2 Aug 1922 d 28 Feb 2009; US Army WWII; "Beloved Mom and Grandma"

The plaques for Jack and Dorothy are laid in the same stone. Were they husband and wife? Who were their children? How, if at all, was Jack related to Bertha?

Does anyone know what happened to Bertha's husband, Lewis Fields Linn? Did Bertha and Lewis have a son? The 1930 census shows them with only a daughter, Betty. Did Lewis have any brothers, either half or whole blooded?

If anyone is interested, I know a good deal about Lewis and his forebears.

Whose aunt was Bertha?
