It could be possible that the surname Linneken,or Linnecken, is originated in Germany.
Linnen(Leinen,Leinwand) means : the material:linen,
eken, or ecken, means , corner, -
so my opinion or suggestion is ,the first Linneken probably was a : LINEN WEAVER ON A CORNER??
