Elizabeth Lint - PA
Posted by: Elizabeth Fladaker (ID *****1777) Date: April 18, 2003 at 21:01:13

I recently received a death certificate for Catharine J. McGinnis, daughter of Andrew Giseburt and Elizabeth Lint. Until this week, I had no idea what Elizabeth's maiden name was. It is very clear on the death certificate. However, on her son's death certificate, it is very hard to read the writing, could be Lints,Lucts, Lutts. There is a definate dot over the second letter - could be an i.

If her name is Lint, then here is what I know about her:

Elizabeth Lint
b. about 1831
d. Unknown

married Andrew Giseburt (Geisbert) around 1851. First child born in Tyrone Twp, Fayete Co, PA.

I find Andrew, Elizabeth and children in East Liberty, Tyrone Twp, Fayette Co, PA in the 1860 census. In 1870 they are in Fayette City, Tyrone Twp, Fayette Co, PA. In 1880, they have moved to East Huntingdon, Westmoreland Co, PA and that is the last I see them in the census. I do not know their dates of death or where.

Their children are:
William King Giseburt
b. 1852 Tyrone Twp, Fayette Co, PA

Catherine Jane Giseburt
b. 1858 b. Fayette Co, PA

Lyman Giseburt
b. abt 1862 (place unknown)

Sophia Giseburt
b. 1864 in Pennsylvania

Sarah Emma Giseburt
b. 1867 in Pennsylvania

Anna Elizabeth Giseburt
b. 1869 in Pennsylvania

I am hoping to find someone with information on Elizabeth Lint and who and where she came from.

Yours in Research
