Illinois Lipe
I am trying to make a possible connection to the LIPE family.I never new until recently who my great grandmother's (Eunice Vada YESKE) parents were, I knew her dad's last name was YESKE and I knew her mother's first name was ILLINOIS.My Grandmother recently passed away and while going through old photos I came across a piece of paper that my great grandmother had wrote all her chidren's names and her parents names, So now I know the YESKE I was looking for is Herman YESKE.Asyou all know, even one name can open so many more doors. Searching in the LDS files I found a Herman YESKE who married Illinois LIPE in 1888 in Illinois.I'm so hoping that she is my Illinois I've been looking for. After all, how many Herman YESKE's could have married a woman named Illinois in the time period I was looking for???All I know about my Illinois is that she ended up in Minnesota.I found her in the 1900 census for Bigelow Twp., Nobles County, Minnesota, at that time she was already widowed. It stated she was born August 1866 in Illinois and that both her parents were born in North Carolina. Her children listed were Eunice born 1888, Ida born 1891, Anna born 1892 and Walter born 1893, all in Minnesota according to this census. If this sounds at all familiar to anyone, please email [email protected].
