Hello Lipmans!
My name is Damien Lipman. My Father is David Lipman and my grandfather was Leonard Lipman.
I have been searching half-heartedly for the past 7 years for some for of extended genealogy on our family. Bless you all for contributing to this page. Is there anyone who can shed some light on our family's history?
I am afraid all I know so far is that Leonard Lipman was sent to Australia at the outbreak of WW2 and then moved to Hull / Southshields in England later in life.
Leonards wife was Hilda Brown, her maiden name came from her father wearing a brown suit when he got off the boat in Hull after leaving Russia at the outset of the war.
Can anyone help? I would verymuch appreciate anything that could shed some light on our ancestry.
Thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.
Damien
