I have recently found the marriage of Henry Lipscomb, a labourer, to Mary Pembroke in Chester in 1846. I think they were the parents of my great great grandfather George Lipscombe who although born in Chester(according to both the 1881 and 1891 censuses)lived the rest of his life in the east end of London. Henry's marriage certificate names his father as John, a deceased Blacksmith.I suspect that Henry may well have come to Chester from elsewhere and would be interested if anyone could shed light on him and his father.
