Hi Ralph,
I still wonder if your Thomas is a son of the Reverend Arthur LIPSEY of Chester District, SC.I don't know if you read my messages conecerning the LIPSEY familiy of Chester & Union, but I question whether or not your Thomas was a sibling to Timothy R. LIPSEY.This is mere speculation, but I feel that the Reverend Arthur LIPSEY was a son of Arthur LIPSEY and Bathsheba RICKETSON of Jones Co., NC.Ricketson LIPSEY, a known son of theirs, was in Union Co., SC.Ricketson, Jr.'s son, Thomas, was b. in 1831--too late to be yours. And it makes sense that Rev. Arthur LIPSEY would name a son Thomas--he had a brother named Thomas Roscoe LIPSEY.And I am keeping my fingers crossed that the "R" in Timothy R.'s name stands for RICKETSON...however, it could be "Roscoe."I'll fill you in on anything I come across.
