I have participated in a Luttrell family DNA project coordinated by Simon Luttrell of Ireland. I found a very close genetic relationship to a Littrell who traces his family to Kentucky in the early 1800s. My ancestors were also in Kentucky then - Adair Co. I document my ancestors at least to Richard Luttrell (d. 1766 in Fauquier Co., VA). He was possibly son of James Luttrell, the immigrant from Ireland in the 17th century.

It would be very enlightening for all of us to get DNA results from more Luttrells, Littrells, Litterals, etc. More information is available on my website - www.TheLuttrells.com - or www.SimonLuttrell.info
