Hello Ray Howell,
I am responding to a 2002 message posted by you about Johan Peter LIVENGOOD. Your Johan Peter LIVENGOOD, 1733-1814 and his wife, Eva LINDERMAN, ?-1808 were, according to my searching, my 5th great-grandparents. I don't show a birth place for my Johan Peter, but apparently he died around Whiteley Twp., Greene Co., PA. Johan Peter is said to have written his Will in 1808, and apparently Eva was already dead. I am descended from their daughter, Barbara LIVENGOOD, b: abt 1767; d: ? who married John LEMLEY,b: abt 1764 PA; d: abt 1840 in Greene Co., PA.
There appears to be confusion with another Johan Peter LIVENGOOD who settled in Elk Lick, Somerset Co., PA who also had a daughter, Barbara. This Johan Peter was born abt 1730, and is said to have come with his father from Alsace on the ship "PHOENIX" in 1750. I believe the history of these two men has been mixed up in published online trees and histories. It may not be possible to sort them out without hands on research.
Hope that you or someone on this forum can help me out. Thanks.
