Lock and Sawyers~VA, Morgan Co. AL, Tishomingo Co. MS

I am looking for the parents of Elizabeth, born 1819, who married James Sawyers, apparently in Morgan Co. AL about 1840. They moved to Tishomingo County, MS at the same time as John Locke, Bailey Sawyers (father of James), and Albert Vest. All these folks were neighbors in Morgan Co. AL. Also, Bailey and his first wife, Sarah, were both born in VA. They had spent some time in Surry Co. NC, where their oldest child, James, was born.

On the 1880 census of Tishomingo county, Rebecca Locke, single, is listed in the household with Francis M. Meadows and his wife, Susan R. Sawyers Meadows. Susan was a daughter of James and Elizabeth. Rebecca is listed as an "aunt". At first I "assumed" that she was an aunt to Francis, but realized she was probably Susan's aunt. (as far as I can find through research, she doesn't fit as either a sister or sister-in-law, to Francis' parents).

So, all this to say does anyone know if Elizabeth is a daughter of John and Delila. Does anyone know what became of John and Delila after 1850?

Thank you,
Gale Judkins
