Margaret Lock, James Stewart, married 1802 Midlothian, Scotland
Posted by: Gordon Stewart (ID *****9667) Date: July 23, 2009 at 10:35:11

Hello,

Grateful for any information on the ancestors or family of either James Stewart, "carter" by trade, and Margaret Lock. James may have been born c. 1776.
They were married in 1802, in Midlothian - possibly connected to Leith or Joppa.
They had at least two sons, John and James (b. c. 1813).
Margaret's father may have been Walter Lock?

Also trying to trace the ancestors of Marion (or Mary?) Ramsay, who married James Stewart in 1832. Her father was John Ramsay, ploughman, of Corstorphine, Midlothian.

Thanks!
