I am wondering if anyone has searched this line. My line is Matthew Locke- his son,Richard Locke(m.to Jeannette Robinson)-Richard's son,George C. Locke(m.to Fannie mcKay)-George's son,Thomas Dewes Locke-Thomas son,Robert E.Lee Locke-Thomas Cosmo Locke. What I would like to know is: What did Richard do for a living? George and Fannie were married in Warren Co.N.C. Why were they married there and not Salisbury? What were they doing there? Fannie was Spruce McKay's daughter. Why did they move to Gibson Co. Tenn? He was a trader. Thomas Dewes Locke lived in Rutherford Tenn. His son is listed as Lee. The family has always said his name was Robert E. Lee Locke. I can't verify that. In the census I see Thomas daughter's name is Mary. Then later it says Alice. Does anyone know what her name was? Mary Alice? Who she married? I have many photos of this line, tintypes, old photographs from the 1850s-early 1900s. I don't know exactly who some of them are. I also have photos of Shiloh cemetary and don't know who is buried there. None of the relatives I have listed were there. I know Thomas was in the civil war. His sister Ann Elizabeth Locke was married to a Montgomery. I have a photo of her. I have photos of picnic also.
