My paternal grandmother's maiden name is Lockard and she was from Barbersville, KY. Her father's name was Gertrude and he was a policeman killed on duty in Louisville, KY when she was 9. Her mother was Betty. Your post mentions William Lockard and Barbonville, KY, which may be Barbersville. I don't have much more info, but I'm interested in learning more about the family.
