John, I think the reason you can't find what you are looking for, you have some wrong information listed down. I Have John W. Lockard and Sarah McDaniels being married in Wayne County, Kentucky, 13 Nov 1862. She is the daughter of Elijah McDaniels and Leann Leaser. Sarah is 16 Years old and was born in Russell County, Kentucky. John is the son of James Lockard and Rebecca Garrett. John was born in Fentress County, Tennessee. He served in the Civil War as a private in Company I 12th Ky Inf. from Jabez, Russell County, Kentucky. I have sent for his papers. I've found him on the 1860 Wayne County, Ky census and then on the 1900 Russell County, Ky. His wife Ssarah is on the 1930 Wolf Creek, Russell County, Ky with her son-in-law William McGowen and dau. Rena. James Lockard and Rebecca Garrett were married in Jefferson County, Indiana 8 dec 1825.
I think John W. Lockard and my Benjamin Lockard who born in Overton County, Tennessee,are brothers. They both say on the census their fathers were born in Indiana. I have been trying for years to solve my Lockards.
