Lockard clan supported Robert The Bruce, King of Scotland

Lockard clan supported Robert The Bruce, King of Scotland around 1300 A.D. because this is noted in the back of a book that I purchased for my Father (not a Lockard) who descends from the King. I would like to exchange family history on behalf of my daughter who is a Lockard. We are from the area of Leesburg, Fruitland Park & Lady Lake, Florida; south of Ocala. I started her tree but, it is empty past her grandparents. My ex-husband a Lockard was born in Virginia in 1960, the son of James A Lockard born maybe in 1920's or 1930's maybe in Virginia. James died maybe in TN or Virginia sometime between 1976 & 1984. Said to be cremated no grave marker. I did not get to meet my father-in-law because, he died more than 10 years before I married his son in 1994. Help us fill in my little girls' empty Lockard tree please.
