Billy,
On the 1850 Jackson Co., FL census, I see John, Susan (Patterson), Susan, age 16, William D.F. and Joseph B.The first 3 children I am assuming belonged to first or second wife.Is this correct?
Then on the 1860 census I see John, Susan (Patterson), Joseph B. (another wives's child), John B, Sarah Rebecca, Henry Wilbur/Wilber, Eliza M and Laura D (who are Susan Patterson's children). Correct? Then between 1860 and 1864 Susan (Patterson) dies and John marries Catherine Griffin 11-5-1864.No children. Then Catherine dies between 1870 and 1877 where John marries Eliza Wilson 11-4-1877.No children.Haven't found where John marries Susan Patterson.Do you know that date and location. If it was earlier than 1850 maybe Joseph B. is her child.
Susan and John are mentioned in an a Petition for the Probate of an alleged nuncupation will of the said Elizabeth Patterson dated on November 23, 1855.If you want I will send you the exact wording.
