Vincent Lockman/Polly Hare D-I-V-O-R-C-E
Little can be discovered regarding Polly Hare other than the marriage record to Vincent Lockman dated June 25,1817 at Jackson County, Indiana.Originally I believed the husband of Polly Hare was a son of Vincent Lockman; this was sourced from the DAR records, which in turn had been based on the marriage records of Jackson County. But I have recently realized there was probably no son named Vincent as no mention was made in the will and subsequent documents.
Also, I came to believe the marriage of Vincent Lockman and Polly Hare ended in divorce.More research was required.
This is what I have found.

Note--No indication was made regarding the substance of the complaint.
Still, this does not solve the question of whether this is our ancestor, Vincent Lockman buried at Heighton Hill, or did he indeed have a son, but failed to make any mention in the will?
Another question is whether Polly Hare who became Polly Lockman married Samuel Wheldon in 1824.
Who is the mother of Emily Lockman, born 1820, married to Andrew Reynolds and mentioned in the will?
Any enlightment would be greatly appreciated!
