My name is Don Lockyear (wife Patsy) live in Beaverton Oregon. First cousin to Allen Lockyear.
We are both desendance of Christopher Lockyear anbd Letitia Porter who came over frome South Hampton in the spring of 1819 on a sailing vessel with 4 children and landed in Boltimore Maryland. Their youngest son John was one year old the day they arrived. Went by ox cart to southern Indiana. Christopher died in 1830 of yellow fever. Their children were Cristopher II, Mary Ann, John,George, William and lat least two other daughters we do not know the names of.

John maried Jane McDonald and their children were Minerva, Levi, Nancy Ann, Lucy, William, Elizabeth, Almira, John Lunsford, Sarah, Charles, Edgar, Melvin, Elvin, Joseph B.

Levi maried Veturia Geraldine Davis and their children were, Elmer Quincy, Edward Harper, Clinton Worth, Verda Ruth,

Edward Harper maried Minnie Katherine Henn, and their children were Lula, William Levi, Fredrick Edward, Harold, Helen Geraldine, Dorthy, Mary Elosia, Emily, Frand Harper, Ralph, Charles Victor, John Benjamin. ( 3, Emily, Ralph, and Frank are still alive.

I will not go into all of us that are around now. I have found that every one in the US with the Lockyear name speled this way are related in some way. We lived in Canada for 14 years and were the only ones with that spelling that we know of. We have all moved back. I spent a Year in England back in 1957 and when I opened a phone book in Lundon the Lockyears were Like Smith is here. Hope thei is of some use and if there are any other info you need like dates I have them to. Have a good day
