obit: Mary Addie Parham
PARHAM - Mary Addie Parham, 95, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at her home after a long illness. She was born July 12, 1910, in Monroe County to the late Pinson and Weda Faulkner Roebuck. She lived most of her life in the Parham community of Monroe County. She was a retired seamstress from the Amory Garment Company and a member of the New Hope Church of Christ. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.
Services were Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Philip Hathcock, Leslie Grant and Mitch Rhymer officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Herbert L. Parham and wife, Julia Raye, of Parham; four daughters, Mary Jo Young and husband, Jimmy D., Martha Faye Loden and husband, Farrar, Linda Pickle and husband, Lester, and Sherryel Cooper and husband, Harold, all of Amory; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chap Parham, in 1965; a son, Edward "Ebb" Parham, in 1997; her parents; a brother, Riley Roebuck; a sister, Mavis Nash Tate; and a great-grandchild, Noah Andrew Barksdale.
Pallbearers were Greg Parham, Gary Young, Steve Young, Michael Parham, Brad Parham, Brandon Parham and Shay Cooper.
