John W. Loder was in the Civil War. Article on his life is in "Nevada, A Narrative of the Conquest of a ---- Land." Ed. James G. Scrugham, Vol II, pp. 312-313. He was my grandfather's first cousin. Only adult survivor of his four children, Echo L. Loder, was a teacher in Reno over 40 years and a school was named for her. She was the Principal of the Jr. Hi. when this book was published in 1935. Have some more information about the ancestors of this line. Fred.
