William M. Langue [Logue], is a native of Tennessee, born on the 27th of November, 1821.When three years of age his parents moved to Illinois, and soon after settled in Cass County, [Illinois], where he was reared and educated.He moved to Mason County, [Illinois], in June 1843, and was married in 1844, to Matilda Skipton, a native of Ohio.He purchased a farm and was engaged in agricultural pursuits for a time.In 1848he learned the trade of a plaster mason, and was engaged in that capacity until 1871, when he came to Cass County, IOWA, and settled in Union Township.He bought land on section [?], and built a fine house, and has since been engaged in farming and stock raising.Mr. and Mrs. Langue [Logue] have eight children:James J.,John H.,Samuel S.,Lucinda J.,Emma L.,William O.,Harriet and Susan.He was elected township trustee in 1878, and has been chairman several years.
