Logwood vs Lockwood-1737
Open letter to all Logwood genealogy researchers.I have absolute total proof that in Sussex county Delaware(Maryland)in 1737 that Richard Lockwood was mistakenly
written up in a nuncupative(oral) Will as Richard Logwood by a Justice of the Pease
named Charles Rackcliffe but was corrected by Commisiary Nehemiah King two days latter. It can be shown that Mr. Rackcliffe was not only hard of hearing, but also used phonetic spelling technics, which were common in those PWD days.(Pre-Webster's Dictionary). I can't find any Logwood surnames in the region until after 1751. Can anyone help me untangle this mystery? I need PROOF,that there was a Logwood, any Logwood,in Sussex/Kent County,Delaware(Maryland)prior to 1737. Your ideas and thoughts are also important to me;even if you don't have proof please feel free to comment because I need more ideas. Bob Lockwood [email protected]
