Some updates from my previous post (incl. new email address).

Melchior Lohner was most likely from the Rheinland-Pfalz area of Germany. I'm assuming this because he *probably* came over with Johann (H)Epting. We now believe his wife's name to be Barbara. (Amy was probably confused from the German "Oma" or Grandmother).

We have also discovered that David Loner's wife was Rebecca Alewine (from her death certificate). So information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Previous Message:

I have information on Melchoir Lohner and his family who may be related to mine. I have a documentation gap and need help!

Melchoir Loner, b. c. 1735 in Holland or Germany, m. Amy ?[probably Barbara] died c. 1788 Lexington Dist. SC. Their Children were:

Michael, b. 1751
Anna b. 1752
Jacob
John b. 1765

John Lohner/Loner married Margaret Eve ?
They had 8 children (4m/4f). I don't know the names of their children, but believe (hope) the youngest is David Loner, 1809-1888 SC, m. Rebecca Nichols [really Alewine] 1818-1883.

David is my gg-grandfather. Does anyone have information on this family? I have decendants of David, but need to "connect" him to his ancestors.

Thanks so much!

Sally Loner Boyd
