Thank you for all the good informatiom and for responding so quickly. I agree that "Pickard" could actually be "Pecott" and I also found Nettie M. Lohner , married to Henry Matthews. In fact, I'm almost positive this Nettie Matthews is the Nettie I'm researching. I found her in C.A., Los Angeles county in 1930, and Alice Pecott, her aunt, was living with the family. I also found Nettie Matthews in the C.A. death index. To solve the mystery, I think I'll break down and order a copy of her death certificate. Thanks again.
