Samuel Loner(s) in SC.
Posted by: Sally Boyd (ID *****2760) Date: April 11, 2008 at 08:05:56

Yesterday I found a Samuel Laner in the 1850 Abbeville SC census, Savannah River Regiment. He was 24 and living with the Feris Martin family as an overseer. No others of similar name anywhere that I could find.

I had earlier found a mention of a Samuel Loner listed in a 1791 plat description on Second Creek in the old 96 District.

This is obviously two people, but in similar areas. I don't have any Samuels in the Loners I've found in Newberry & Abbeville. Does anyone know anything of these two men?

Thanks,

Sally Loner Boyd
