Information from the American French Genealogical Society in Woonsocket, RI. Your family will be hard to search as they are from the Gaspe and originally Acadian, presently Nova Scotia, etc, which the English took over and exiled the French in the mid-1700's. Pierre was previously married to Julienne Grenier. (Married in Grand Riviere, Gaspe on 18 Sept 1854). He married Cecile Grenier on 1 March 1859 in Port Daniel, Gsape. Cecile was previously married to Jean Baptiste Chouinard in Port Daniel on 4 December 1826. (Source: Drouin's Book of Marriages) No parents listed for Cecile. Pelagie Brasseau was born 11 March 1802 in PD. Her last name differs in the listings from Brasseau to Brasseur to LeBrasseur. Pelagie's parents were Joseph Lebrasseur and Tharsile Euphrosine Duguay (born 15 Nov 1776) married before a Justice of the Peace on 1 September 1801 and in church on 16 February 1802. Joseph's parents were Mathurin LeBrasseur and Catherine Duguay. Euphrosine's parents were Jacques Duguay and Veronique Chapados.
