I have traced My 5X grandfather to Kentucky also. His name was William Loman married to Sally Golden in Aug 1800. Checking the Payroll of 1812 War there was a William "Lowman" from Kentucky and born in North Carolina. Checking on Burke County, NC a man sent a message to me stating that 2 brothers named "Loman" settled there in mid 1700's and one had a child named William Lowman...My mother is a Loman...her family lines run from her father Everett V, to Ernest B, to John Samuel Washington, to Walter Elias, and stops at William Loman...keep me informed on any progress you make and I'll do the same if this falls on any familiar territory..
