Hi, I am needing help on researching a line. I have a William Loman b. 1850 NC who married an Alva or Amy b. 1842 NC. William and Alva Loman had a daughter, Rosina b. 1877 NC who married Thomas F. Miller in 1907. Thomas's parents are Charles and Amy Miller, from what I've been able to gather. Thomas Miller b. 1878.
I searched for a William Loman in 1870 census on Ancestry.com and came up with a William Loman, 16, Jerry, 14, Simeon, 12, and Henry Loman, 10, all working on a farm for Pinckney and Barbara Smith in Monroe Twp, Guilford Co, NC. They were #97, and in household #98 is Addison Loman, b. 1831 NC and Margarett b. 1834, his wife. They have the following children...James, 12, Jenkins, 10, Mary, 8, John, 7, Joseph, 6, Frank, 5.
I was thinking that William Loman is the son of Addison and Margaret Loman next door but now not so sure because of the clash in the children's ages.
Would anyone be able to help me in placing the parents of William Loman b. 1850 NC, and possibly telling me William's wife's name. I am not sure if Alva or Amy and her maiden name too.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
