I am trying to get information on Bernard Stevenson and his ancestors. He was born about 1871 (probably in the South of England). He is buried in a family plot in South Croydon. He married Helen Brown (born in County Cork, Ireland about 1869)about 1890. His family was originally from Scotland may have been associated with the Sinclair clan although they appear to have moved eventually to the South London area. Bernard and Helen had nine children (Helen, b.1891, Richard, b1892, Edward, b. 1894, Elizabeth (Bessie), b. 1896, John, b. 1898, Arthur, b. 1900, George, b. 1902, Mary, b. 1903 and my grandfather Bernard, b. 1906 d. 1967 in South Africa. Edward had a shipping agency in Leadenhall Street (Stevenson & Co.)
