We have a copy of a family letter written by Thomas Mason, father of Catherine Martha Mason, to his "cousin" William Mason in New Zealand (my GGrandfather) dated 1860. In it Thomas mentions that he has 4 living children (Kate 16, Tom 14, Margaret 10 and Eunice 8) and 3 children buried. Thomas is a widower. Yesterday we received Eunice Mason's birth certificate, her mothers full maiden name is Catherine Martha SEABROOKE, which ties in with her brother's William second christian name Seabrooke as mentioned in Stephen Stone's posting of March 3rd 2005.The address on Eunice birth certificate could well be Parsonage Walk; Newington is clearer written.Occupation: straw ?plait? maker.
Our interest is to tie this Thomas Mason to my GGfather William. An interesting point is the fact that this GGfather married a Mary Ann SEABROOKE so we now have another challenge to see if these 2 Seabrooke ladies are related. We have requested the 1843 marriage certificate of Thomas Mason and Catherine Martha Seabrooke to obtain their parents names.
Would you mind telling us what your connection is with this family?
We look forward to your reply
