Mary (Green) Longfellow, w. of Nathan--Death 1742 or later?
Seeking death and/ or burial information for Mary (Green) Longfellow Macress.
Mary b.1693 married Nathan Longfellow, who d. 1731.Ch. in will: Jonathan, Ann/Anna, Jacob, Seuel/Sewell, Abigail, Nathan, and Green.Mary m. 2nd Joseph Macress. This surname has been spelled many ways including Mackrest, Macrest, andMecres.
Along with Nathan’s will, in New Hamsphire Wills, we find that Mary Mecress was involved in a court proceeding on 28 Apr 1742.1742 is also said to be “the year of her death” on some web pages.Does any one know of documentation that proves or disproves this?
(Perhaps there is proof which lies in the date her son Jacob or son Green Longfellow took possession of land willed to them.)
Any help in determining the date of Mary’s death or her place of burial would be greatly appreciated!
