COLONEL J.T. LONGINO of New York City, in America, about ten years ago, after having employed the service os a noted Italian Genalaogist, received a lengthy history of the LONGINO family, dateing back to the birth of CHRIST, bringing it up to the time a member of the family came to America, around 1750.Colonel LONGINO generously shared this knowledge with relatives throuout the country.
The documents which he recived, the orginal of which has been viewed by the writer, were notarized by the U.S. CONSUL to ITALY, and gave as Governmental and Judiciary references, such names as :
Dr. Pietro, Count Guelgi Camaiani. Pres. of the Italian Genealogical Institute :
Dr. Lapo Lapi, Notary of the City of Florence :
Dr. Camillo Mirabelli, Attny. of the Ministry of Justice, ROME ;
Dr. pietro Spinazzola, Repr. of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ROME.
The data was dated 20 april 1949. It bears their Seal.
