Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Anyone researching Termini Imerese families simply MUST join
http://www.termini-imerese.org/
I am a member and have found literally dozen's of my wife's ancestors there through the website. And I am talking Ancestors, not counting the siblings of Ancestors.
It is a gold mine!

Also the LDS Microfilms of the Civil Births, Deaths, and marriages of the latter 1800's are really quite readable after about 1870. The earlier ones are a major challenge to decipher, but the latter ones are on printed forms and a few hours practice and a Italian-English dictionary will get you most of the key information.

In addition, Laura Johnson, the Founder of the site will do for hire work in the records of Termini where she has Digital Images that are not yet transcribed for very reasonable fee's. Check her out.

If this sounds like a commercial, I am simply a very satisfied user of both.
