LOOK, Henry M. Lapeer obit
(paper dated April 11, 1894) Lapeer: Henry M. Look, old Lapeer county boy, died last week at Greely, Colorado. Earlier had been a lawyer at Pontiac. Burial at Pontiac.*

LOOK, JOHN Lapeer obit
(paper dated August 20, 1892) Farmer's Creed: Death of John Look of Lowell, Michigan** last month removes last of our first settler. Messrs Morse, H. M. Look, and John Look settled here in 1834.*** Mr. Morse first to take up land here. John Look first to move here with family. Deceased 91 years old. Lived here until 1874 when moved to Lowell to be near children. Married twice. A widow and three children survive: son and daughter by first marriage Mrs. Gardner of Buffalo, NY and J.Q. Look. Youngest son D.G. Look in business at Lowell.

My footnotes:
* Pontiac, Michigan is in Oakland County about 30 miles to the north of Detroit (Wayne County)and 30 miles to the south of Flint (Genesee County)
** Lowell, Michigan is in Kent County just to the east of Grand Rapids which is in the same county.
*** Michigan was a territory in 1834. It did not become a state until 1837. There is the possiblity that one of these men's descendants turned in their pedigree for the Michigan Sesquicentennial (150th birthday)which was 1987. The pedigrees would be in the State of Michigan Library in the state capitol of Lansing (Ingham County)
