I found a book written by Charles Banks, the author of History of Martha's Vineyard, which was published in 1912. In 1920, Banks began making several trips to England to trace the roots of emigrants to New England. THOMAS LOOK was one of them. So, Banks himself refutes the fact that THOMAS came from Scotland. If you're familiar with the History of Martha's Vineyard, you'll recall Banks says THOMAS "probably" came from Scotland, because the iron foundry where he worked employed quite a number of Scotsmen. If you'll e-mail me, I'll give you more information about the book Banks wrote and more on where he found THOMAS.
