Dear Ray, You are about the only LOOK on this forum. Being a LOOK myself I have had extreme difficuly tracing my LOOK roots. My family lived in New York and my LOOk ancestor was killed at Gettysburg. My brother and other members of the family have been researching this family for years and cannot get past the civil war due to the lack of New York records. We believe our LOOK roots are from Massachusetts, but we have no proof of lineage. All we know is that four LOOK families went to New York in the early 18th century but we cannot connect our families. Anyway you can help?? Maybe you have run across some LOOK family members and disregarded them because they were not your own?????? I recently acquired a LOOK family history which has it's roots in England as well as a coat of arms. Have you seen it?? Also, if you are interested, a genealogist did an exhausting study on her LOOK family roots. It is very through and complete with photos, newspaper clippings, vitals, and the like. It is at the Flint Public Library in Flint, Michigan and you may be able to obtain it on an interlibrary loan for free or a minimal fee. These LOOKS are linked to the LUCE and other families. I'm sorry to say that I did not find any of my family, according to the records I have. Incidently, there are few male LOOKS in our line. My grandad had three brothers two who died in childhood. The rest are females. We don't have many males to carry on our name. If you can find anything, especially in the western part of New York about any LOOK families, it would be deeply appreciated. Please let me know. KIM
