Dear Ronda, I am also a Look who is trying like heck to connect my roots. I can't get past the Civil War!!!!!!!! My grandfather was the last Look born in New York. He hailed from Pembroke in Erie County just outside of Buffalo. He was at least the fourth generation born there. Grandad came to Michigan as an infant--to Osceola County in Northern Michigan to be exact. He came to Flint around 1920 to work in the GM plants, too. I am very familiar with the Looks in Lapeer County. Many of them lived and I believe are buried in the Hadley area. I have been trying to find out if any of these are linked to our line, but it is going to be a long-drawn out process because of the non-existance of early New York records. I can tell you that there was a genealogist who did extensive work on the Look family. You may be able to obtain it from the main branch of the Flint Public Library in Flint, Michigan. Also, I am a stone's throw away from Lapeer, so if you need me to find something, please let me know. If you'd like to post you e-mail, I'll send you the data via that means of communication. If you happen to run into a John Look who was a civil war vet, please let me know. KSP
