I am looking for any of the Loper family who had reunions in the old family home somewhere in South-Western Mississippi...
We believe it was held in my husband's great grandmother's old home place...As, we remember, it was a very old wood house, with paint worn off and was raised off the ground...
the reunion was in October each year...I know it took us a few hours from Tangipahoa, just out of Kentwood, LA...and I think it was southeast of there...
My husband's aunt had a letter from a the name of Fannie D. Wiggins...(may be her married name, she later married a Lee)...Fannie's mother was a sister to the aunt's mother, Josephine Loper...Fannie and her son, Jim, were trying to compile a history of the Loper family...If anyone knows this family, please contact me...We are interested in finding out if the reunion is still being held and would like to talk to anyone who is from this family and anyone working on this family history...Dee
