Hi. I'm not related to this family. This is probably Aaron's WWI draft card:

U.S., World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 about Aaron Edgar Paul Loper
Name:        Aaron Edgar Paul Loper
City:        Fitchburg
County: Worcester
State:        Massachusetts
Birth Date:        29 May 1885
Race:        White
Age: 33
Occupation: Core-maker, Foundry
Nearest Relative: Marie Rose Loper (wife), Fitchburg

Like you, I found him listed in directories as early as 1916, but that's about it. I did find a small mention, possibly of him, in a newspaper:

"Aaron Loper, of Hornellsville, visited his aunt, Mrs. Myers on Railroad street..." ~Evening Tribune (Hornell, NY), 29 Aug 1905

Hornellsville is a city in Steuben County, NY, so it is in the right area. Unfortunately, there were plenty of Myers living in Hornellsville at that time, and no 1st name for Mrs. Myers so we're back to square one.

Sorry I couldn't help more. Annie
