I am curious where the leonard name came from. Joseph married Jemima Betsaws in Blount county . Thier name is listed on the marriage records there. Do you have a Marriage record for Jemima Leonard and Joseph Loposser??
It is possible she had been married before and reverted to the other name.
There is one unnamed in the Census of Rowan county North Carolina that would be about the age of Joseph in the JOhn Lobwasser household. "John was the son of Joseph Lobwasser who imigrated in 1747." They migrated into Washington County about 1800's and Joseph married Jemima in Blount county in 1825. Conrad moved to Sevier county in 1837 buying land on Knob Creek in Sevier county,Tenn..I have a map and the record for this.Joseph evidently moved from this area into Kentucky about this time. How are you related to these Lobwasser's? Thanks in Advance Blennie
