Wellsorryto hear about your DH! very sad thing.
HI Ann
well I was going off of a hunchand don't have anything for sure. but someone with a very unique family story, that is just like our unigue family story said that therewas a lobbin the family background. well I don't remember a Lobb , but when I changed it to lopp it soundedy better to me.because one of my great grandmas was a flower and one was a bunny, so lopp related to the bunny so i figured it was something I needed to check into.
when and if you trace your Lopps and or BYrds too KY early 1800 please let me know. I have a Jane born there 1809who was a left behind from a removal of some kind, her dad a chief of something we think cherokee but I have been unable to locate the chickasaw that was in my great grandma who was 3/4 blood mixed tribes.jane died in yell CO AR in the dameron household ( someone from that family seems to have claimed through her probably. her daughter Catherine (katie)white ,other married name) RossMarried a JW dameron. I will keep your lopps andbyrds in mind. if you come across any springfrog info, books etc. this is a name which I know that my grandma said many times but I don't know if it was to questions of who is our chief grandpa or if it was too what are those weird indian names , that we asked her
