German immigrant, settled near Eglon , WV The information about the spelling of his name came from "A History of Preston County". From a history of the Norris family a John Lora married an Elizabeth Norris (bn. 1789) Aug. 12, 1809, if this couple is the John Luraw and Unknown Norris that setteled in Eglon, Preston Co., VA/WV, they were married in Washington Co., MD. The children listed in the history book were Catherine, Susan D., Henry and Enoch.
The names of Wm A Loraw, Lucretia J., Sara E. and Peter W. came from the Bible of Catherine Laraw Hartman. Her childrens names are also from that Bible.
