Minnie's parents were Francis T. Lorenz and Lena R. Allen, maybe Lena Rivers Allen, but that may be an error.
Francis was born in June 1853 in Frederick County, Maryland, and he married Lena on 20 Nov 1879 in Dallas County, Texas, and they moved to Wise County, Texas, before 1900. See the 1900 Census in Wise County, Texas. Francis's father was George Lorentz born 27 May 1818 in Maryland, and his mother was Catherine or Catharine something. Francis is reported to have died in 1935. We would like to find out where he and Lena are buried. Francis may have had a second wife before he died, but I don't think there were any children by the second wife.
Lena was born in Dec 1863 in Tennessee. I haven't tried to find out who her parents were as yet. She is reported to have died in 1927.
I have seven children listed for Francis and Lena. I have birth and death dates for four of them, and I may have that for a fifth one too soon.
Minnie was born 29 Nov 1883 in Texas, and she died 8 Jul
1980 in Cotton County, Oklahoma, I think. At least, that is where she is buried, in Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK.
I just put the tombstone for Minnie and her husband on the Find A Grave web site. It is a beautiful picture. Very clear, etc. Minnie married William Henry Edmonson. We have a picture of him, but I didn't put it on the web site.
Write me.
