Looking for a Peter P. Lorentz

I had always known my earliest US ancestor as Peter Lorah. Recently, a family member did some great research trying to find Peter's ancestors. Peter was born around 1809 in Europe he married Barbara Stuaffer 2 Jul 1831 in Wayne County Ohio. On the same ship "The Sully" that Barbara Stauffer and her family came to America June 25 1828 was a passenger listed as Peter P Laurence. Further research found deeds referring to Peter and Barbara Lorence, which
Peter signed Peter Lorentz. In that document he was also
referred to as Peter Laurence, Peter Lorrence and Peter Lorence. A later document selling property was signed Piter Laurent...this document was witnessed by David Stauffer
who would have been his father-in-law. So now we are trying
to find a Peter Lorentz, Laurence, Lorence, Laurent and
his ancestors in Europe. Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Doug Lora
